„All the girls are early risers, stretching long with the rays of the sun, waling down to the riverbank and dolling themselves up.” Tiny village full of chirping birds, somewhere along the Danube… sometime in a timeless moment… Every inhabitant of the Roundstreet is an ordinarily strange but lovable person, all of them important parts of their community. There’s something to learn from everyone: something that can guide you through every nook and cranny of the Roundstreet. Every viewer, listener and dancer instantly becomes part of this village that comes alive with all the music and dance. The Roundstreet is not just about Julcsa Varga or Pista Basa, it’s about all of us, of children, of adults and of personal connections. Hence why the song „Roundstreet, tiny house, hat do you do little mouse?” can be sung and finished in many ways, it’s down to us how we play with it.
